wndr4300 and chromecast

I have a wndr4300 router running version 1.0.2.80 and an receiving a message when trying to connect chromecast.  A screen comes up ad says something went wrong and to check 3 items:  1.  make sure I am not connected to a VPN.  2.  make sure the router is no in AP isolation mode.  3.  check for MAC whitelisting.  I have been into my router settings and cannot find where any of these are.  Any suggestions or help much appreciated as I would love to use the chromecast.

Re: wndr4300 and chromecast

  1. You would not unknowingly be using VPN, so that does not apply,
  2. Go to the Wireless Settings page and check the ‘Enable Wireless Isolation’ option, the default is ‘disabled’
  3. Go to the Advanced Wireless Settings page and click Setup Access List. This is disabled by default, but may be worth checking.

When you set up the Chromecast do you have to scan for wireless networks and provide the encryption key? If so have you got past that point?

Does this mean that the router is working correctly as it should?
