WGR614v9 wirless green no checkmark, no signal

All of a sudden I do not have a signal on my modem. Wired is fine, antenna icon is green, but check next to power icon is not lit. I checked settings and all are normal, reset, but still no radio, no network on computers to access. I updated to new firmware, but still not signal.

Any ideas?

1. It's router and not modem

2. If you reset the router and enable in the router interface but still failed then you have either band internal wireless in the router or possible power supply issues

...according to the page 3 of the Setup Manual, that check mark LED isn't supposed to be lit under normal operating conditions.

I suppose you mean that you followed the manual's procedure to reset to factory defaults? If this still failed to get the wireless working, then IMHO your router's wireless radio has died. This in spite of the fact that the wireless LED is still lit.

Probably no different then asking I'm buying new car.... Any suggestion...

Netgear product page has plenty feature aspect of each router's performance. Also price varies so suggest to look product page that first interest you. Then read thread based on your model interest and see

You are the only person that knows exactly what your own requirements are in terms of what devices you have and what their specs are. Even if you were to try to post all of this, there may still be the likelyhood of you omitting to mention something (e.g. what future plans you have for upgrading or getting new devices).

In the end, there is no easy work-around to finding what's right for you. You have to spend the time to do research - and this includes reading users' feedback as much as possible. It a lot of work sometimes but there's no way to get someone else to do it for you.
