WNR2000v3 and Dish network 922 connection

Hello!

I am attempting to connect my Dish network 922 to my router. The device shows DHCP is ok, but internet and server connections fail. The device shows an IP address. My router shows the device on the genie. I have contacted my ISP (Verizon) and Dish network techs, who both say my router is not allowing the device to connect. I am not a tech genius, but can get my way through. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
I should also note that I have a TV, DVD, phone and Windows 7 computer that connect with no problems.

put google DNS on Dish network's network settings.

Re: WNR2000v3 and Dish network 922 connection

I set my DNS address to google's IPv4 & IPv6 address. Tried to connect and it did the same thing: DHCP = ok, internet and server connections = fail.
When I had set the DNS address and did the command prompt check (per google's instruct) I got many strings of "request timed out". I did not receive any error codes.

I wasn't really point you to different forum and leave here but the point was that I don't think issues with router manufacture.

I would call Dish support about this

Re: WNR2000v3 and Dish network 922 connection

Oh I have, several times. They read off their standard checks:

Plug into the wall
Connect directly to router
Reboot receiver
Reboot router

I've done it all....they eventually say it's my ISP or router. When the only client that will not connect to my router is the receiver, then I would say it's the receiver.

Oh and BTW, this is my second receiver, just in case it was a defective first receiver. Same problem......
