connecting wifi to Android device

Just bought new router AC750 (R6020) Duel Band WiFi Router. Had no problem pairing it up to labtop and registered everything fine. Next tried to pair smartphone to wifi and it keeps telling me incorrect password! Have tried everything! not sure why the password worked on the labtop and then doesnt with Android smart phone!??

Maybe the laptop and Android devices are using different wifi bands. Your router may have different SSIDs and passwords for each band. The defaults are on the router.
You could also try using WPS to connect the two, if your Android device supports it.

Thanks! It was "dual" band and when i changed the password from default it didnt change the second band! used default password and worked like a charm!
