Hi grumpybs,
The latest version of the NETGEAR Genie should be compatible with Windows 10. I suggest making sure that the program has been completely uninstalled by checking Programs and Features under Control Panel. You can then try to reinstall the program by downloading the latest version using he link below.

Sorry Dexter, but the problem continue in surface 3 pro windows 10, with the last update form genie download, 5 minutes ago.
I cleaned the register in windows 10 looking for "netgear genie" and delete, and the problem continue after instalation.

Please indicate the devices (brand and model) that experience the issue since I will collate the information to send an inquiry to Engineering. This is a bit odd since other Windows 10 devices are able to run the NETGEAR Genie program just fine. This will help us isolate the issue.

My machine is an Alienware X51 R2 running windows ten since August. I have an identical machine at work running windows 8.1. I will try and install Genie on that machine to see if the different OS makes a difference

Ran the Genie installer on my identical Alienware machine running on w8.1 at work. Installed without any problems and can look at my network with no problems - and I don't even have a netgear router at work.
The problem on my home machine must therefore be the w10 I am running on it

Got the Android Galaxy 6 phone and the Android Galaxy Tablet S to download Genie! Still not on the Toshiba Satellite Laptop w/ widows 10 that I just got last week!

Hi Dexter,
My machine is a HP Envy27 all in one. I was running 8.1 PRO and updated to 10. After the update, Genie seemed to be working fine until I performed Genie update. Now when it starts up, message pops up and says that program has stopped working and explorer is closing.

Thanks Dexter...the .12 works for me. The .14 didn't work nor the update to the latest on windows 10.
Still having issues logging through the opendns though. Can log onto the sight directy but obviously it is wanting me to go through the genie software to set up the parental control first. Everything else seems to function fine on .12.
Looking forward to a fix as it seems this has been occuring for some time.

Just got a brand new HP envy laptop with windows 10 preinstalled. My genie app was working on my prior laptop that I upgraded to windows 10 however it does not work on the new laptop. Crashes every time.

I just uninstalled version 16 and installed version 12 and now it's not crashing
