Re: Connecting

You didn't give us much to go off.

What router do you have?

What actual issue in details are you having?

There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.

Re: Connecting

do you mean password?

For logging into the router?

for connecting via wifi?

What exactly are you trying to do?

You're really not giving us much info and you're not even using complete sentences. It makes it tough to help you

That is an old, and not very capable, router, first launched in 2009.

You can find the documentation for the WNR1000 where @plemans suggested.

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk & Non-Orbi) - NETGEAR Communities

Who knows?

You haven't answered any of the earlier questions from @plemans that would help people to help you.

Re: Connecting

Do you have some sort of problem.

Does it have anything to do with the original question from @Chevelle1968? They were asking about completely different hardware.

You have joined in on an existing conversation that may or may not have anything to do with your problems, of you have any.

There is also a good chance that the official support team is busily monitoring new conversations and may miss your addition to this one.

If you do want help with your problem, check previous stuff that may be related then start your own discussion.

If you do decide to ask a question, you should provide more details and your own version of the information that the forum suggests that you provide. For example, as this is a router, it helps to know what modem you are using and the various things that you have tried to fix the problem.

Not really.

AC2000 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the model number. It will be something like R6850.

Then start your own discussion. The rules frown on hijacking someone else's conversation.

You can help people to help you by providing the information suggested in this forum's header:

Subject (Include model number and brief summary)
Model (Recommended - Helps the community give the best answers)
Body (Include additional detail including model version, firmware, OS and environment where relevant.)

They are there for a good reason.
