Default password not working?

My router was previously connect great it stopped working I deleted the device from my Netgear account in hopes to reconnect it. Now my default password isn’t working

What router do you have? 

firmware on the router? 

Deleting it from the account doesn't reset it. Did you try factory resetting it? Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on?

In addition to the questions from @plemans, what does this have to do with the "Genie" that is the topic of this section?


The genie could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac program for a PC, or a mobile Android/iThing app. Netgear labels them all as genies. Which, if any, are you using?

and feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

Not aware Netgear customers can remove devices from their Netgear accounts at all...
