Trying to find out why it doesn’t see my router/modem when I remote login.
Your question provides very little information to help anyone to understand what is going on. The devil is in the detail.
A few questions.
Geni app, remote access AC3200
Which genie app is that?
According to Netgear, the genie app does not support the C7800 listed in your footer.
Which NETGEAR home router models can I manage using the NETGEAR genie app?
What does "remote access" mean to you? Netgear uses "remote" to describe several things.Take us through the steps you took to set it up.
Your question says AC3200 but is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
If you really do own the C7800, then you might like to try your question in the appropriate section.
You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Apps and Services. (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)
Many questions apply to different types of device, so you might get responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
