How to transfer Genie to new computer

In Genie, Network Map, you can click on the devices and give them meaningful names and icons.

Those custom names/icons do not appear to be stored on the router (r7000 in my case), so when installing Genie onto a new/different computer, all of that information needs to be recreated.

Does anyone know where Genie stores the data and if it can be transferred to a new/different computer ?

Or is there a recommended procedure to transfer Genie to a new/different computer while retaining all of your data/customizations ?

The UserData for custom device names is stored at:
    C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\NETGEARGenie\mapcustomdata.dat

For anyone wishing to transfer your custom device names (assigned in Netgear Windows Genie Application Network Map) from one computer to another. try this:

    1. Install Netgear Genie Application on new computer
    2. Run it (this creates the data folder/file above)
    3. Exit the Genie App completely (be sure to right-click on the Genie icon in your bottom-right System Tray and EXIT it there)
    4. Then copy your MapCustomData.dat file from your old computer to new one and overwrite existing file
    5. Launch Genie Application and you should see all your custom names on the new computer :)

Use the edit function in the r7000 access control.
