R6400 and firmware V1.0.1.20_1.0.16, Parental Control doesn't work any longer & others

Just updated to firmware : V1.0.1.20_1.0.16

Now can't enable Parental Control from Genie, it keeps asking to try again the password for OpenDNS.  No issues opening my OpenDNS account with the same credentials that I enter in Genie.

Also, every new device detected by Genie it pops a message, even if you click "Ok" it keeps on poping till you kill the Genie App.

Any hints?

Version you stated, is out of date. Update your firmware to the latest version. Hope this helps.

Sorry to deceive you but the problems comes from the newest and greatest version of the firmware v1.0.1.20_1.0.16.

 Reference:  As seen mow from from R6400 router:

New firmware is found.

Do you want to update the firmware?

Current Firmware Version 1.0.1.18

New Firmware Version 1.0.1.20_1.0.16

So I had to revert to the previous version to recover most of the functionnality that wasn't available any longer.  Even my Genie on iPhone wasn't able to connect to the router.

Unable to contact Netgear to report this problems unless I pay!!! so once the HW warranty ends this July I will swap it for a more serious manufacturer who cares about it's users.

So V1.0.1.20 sucks and reverted back to v1.0.1.18 and everything is back to normal.

Just went through hell trying to get my 5-month old N6400 working after doing a clean Win10 reinstall. Router was running latest firmware (V 1.0.1.22), and I had exactly same symptoms described above.

Downgraded to V 1.0.1.18, and all is right with the world.

Is this being addressed???

Netgear support sucks, feel sorry to have purchased from this manufacturer.

Since my router is out of warranty I have to PAY to tell them that teir firmware sucks!

Won't recommed this brand to anyone - had issues with a 10 GbE switch and their firmware is so limited in terms of features that next time I will invest in a more expensive and better brand.
