R6400 genie says "Login failed. Router response timed out"

I am trying to change some settings on my router, and it says that when I try the admin/password login on the NetGenie program

Can you explain what that means?

How are you using the browser?

It should let you in to make all the possible changes that the router supports.

And what was the "genie program" you mentioned earlier? A mobile app or the desktop program?

The R6400 does not work with the mobile genie. It needs the Nighthawk app:
