The solution to this problem is in your control panel in devices and printers.
Also if you have Netgear Genie GET RID OF IT! It is the other device that your currently logged into messing everything up.
When you go to your control panel then click on devices and printers anything in there that is grayed out DELETE IT.
Then go to the top left and CLICK ON ADD A DEVICE.
A list of everything in your home that you use from TV's, printer and make sure you add your modem click on it and add it.
From the past two months outside of ending up with having a nervous breakdown thinking someone had gotten into my router and having constantly to reset it to really getting to learn my Netgear it has taken me this long to figure out why my WI-FI kept disconnecting.
How it got this way is beyond me. GOOD LUCK.
