authentification problems thru the netgear genie app

the app wont accept the password i use to log in to the router ive tried changing it but it still wont work, ive tried a reboot and that dindn't work and ive tried reinstalling the app and no luck, please help me fix i need acces to parrental controls to keep my kid off of nasty sites

1. What is the model number and firmware version of the router?

2. Does the default password work?

3. Please try using another device (Android, iOS, PC, Mac).

4. You can also try resetting the router.

The app used to work fine on all my devices but since it changed to the new app it won't authenticate, not even close. I have to access by using Safari. There is something wrong at Netgear because all of a sudden nothing is working there. My five year old Stora can't be accessed vis the web and the Netgear Stora website is broken, which they deny but it's all over the Internet. I think they are having huge issues. May be a warning that they are going bust
