Hello,netgear genie won't accept my username
which it says is my e-mail address,My e-mail address has not changed since I bought the router.

Sure---As somrone in the community suggested I did a factory
reset and then followed the instructions in the router manual.
It worked out fine.

You refer to the genie. This could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac program for a PC, or a mobile Android/iThing app. Netgear labels them all as genies. Which are you using?
What are you doing and what happens?
Unfortunately, "won't accept" doesn't tell us what error messages and prompts you see.
