BR200 Instant VPN
Hi,
I'm a bit confused as to the Instant VPN capability of the BR200.
It looks as it is not cabaple for this, only the BR500 seems to be, however, the BR500 seems to be replaced bay the BR200 and is not on sale anymore (in Europe anyway).
All the "Instant VPN" articles on this site indicate that they concern both the BR500 and the BR200.
However, when in Insight (or the app) and I try to add my BR200 as a device in trhe instant VPN group, it shows zero compatible devices.
Basically the Instant VPN environment is exacty why I bought the device, basically to circumvent the need for portforwarding on the main ISP router side to forward incoming VPN connections.
Can this be confirmed, that only a VPN router which basically is discontinued can be used to create an Insant VPN group?

Re: BR200 Instant VPN
Weirdest of all, included with the BR200 router is an active "instant VPN" subscription allowing 1 device and 1 user, with a link to pay for additional licenses.
Why on earth does Netgear tries to sell someting on a device when that device can't do that particular thing?

Re: BR200 Instant VPN
The BR200 does not support Insight VPN for various reasons. Technically the BR200 is a BR500 stripped from the Insight VPN functionality. Any dependency information between Insight VPN and the BR200 does definitively not apply.
More confusing is the sometimes included Service relation to Insight Business VPN representing a complete different system.

Re: BR200 Instant VPN
The article has been corrected. The BR200 is now removed from "This article applies to" section. Kindly access the article below to check:
How do I add a device to a VPN group in the Insight App?

Re: BR200 Instant VPN
BR200 (Firmware Version: V5.10.0.5)
@DaneA : Unfortunately this is still misleading. We bought 2 BR200 because of the stated Insight VPN capabilities. All these links below support the idea that BR200 is just as capable as BR500.

Even the marketing video below on the BR200 main product page suggests the same thing:

Fortunately it seems VPN can still be configured directly on the router:
But I think the documentation should be updated properly to make sure prospective buyers know exactly what they'll be getting.

Re: BR200 Instant VPN
Please be informed that Open VPN is different from Insight VPN. The BR200 supports Open VPN but NOT Insight VPN.
If ever you are not aware yet, let me share the article below and if you may want to replace your BR200, kindly follow the steps indicated:
