Two outages were discovered on the VPN service at 1am and at 8:45am. We have corrected the issue and the connections are recovering.

Notes:

• We had partial VPN service outage beginning 1AM, 12/11/2019 PST. The reason was that VPN servers cached out of sync info after weeks continuous services, the out of sync info caused CPU drainage and disrupted VPN services. We will do regular clean up to avoid this happen again in future. Two servers were affected, roughly 10~20% connections were affected. All connections should have already auto recovered by 1PM, 12/11/19.
• All servers are currently operational.
• All affected VPN connections should have recovered. If not,  please try one of following manual recover methods:
• Login GUI page: https://ip-of-router/support.html switch to any other proxy server
• Insight manager: Move router out of VPN group and then add it back.
• Tech support assistance: Restart VPN service though SDM connection
• From GUI or Insight: Restart router

As of approx 4PM techincal issues started to arise on some of the Insight VPN servers. As of 9:30PM 3 of 8 proxy servers were out of service. Engineering is in the process of identifying the root cause of these issues and fixing it. Another update will be provided as more information becomes avaliable.
