Welcome to the community! 🙂

What device is directly connected to LAN port 1?  Be informed that if a LAN port is lit up solid amber, it means that a 10Mbps or 100Mbps link is established.  Refer to page 11 of the BR500 Hardware Installation Guide here about the LEDs on the front panel.

About the https://www.routerlogin.net/, this is for NETGEAR Home devices.  You may follow it as well and it is alright.  The BR500 is a NETGEAR Business device.

What kind of warning is issued exactly?

@DaneA using https:/wwwwrouterloginn.net/ is per the fine documentation FMII: User Manual Insight Instant VPN Router BR500, p.11 ff. - and perfectly valid for accessing a BR500.

@YeZ  Why does Netgear (or the ODM Netgear should have stopped to work with) fail to install a valid signed certificate - even if it is not "that" secure considering the "shared"private key, as it's in place for example on the Netgear R90000? Can't get rid of the impression the kids have deployed a self signed certificate again. Time to fire some product "managers", too.
