Can the config backup from one FVS336G be safely loaded into another FVS336G

In the event of a hardware failure, can I safely transfer the config backup from one FVS336G to another replacement FVS336G provided both are the same hardware and identical firmware version?
Example: use back up config from one FVS336Gv3 with firmware v4.3.6-6 to configure another Identical FVS336G with firmware v4.3.6-6.
When I open the backup cfg in a text editor, I see the mac addresses listed in several places. Not sure if this or possibly some other data value in the backup config would cause problems with the router it is transferred to.
Also, can I manually edit the backup config and then load it? I noticed that the backup config file contains a system config checksum so I assume if I edited it, it would be considered invalid. If this is true, is there a way to calculate a new checksum for a manually edited system config?
Thank you and regards,
Tom

Hello TWilson,
Yes, you can. When replicating issues in our lab, we usually request for a copy of the configuration file and load it to our routers. The backup config can be edited but we do not recommend it, we only allow changes via the web UI. If you edit the backup config manually, load it to the router and if it bricked the router the warranty will be voided.
