Re: FVS114 New On Network, No Telephone
DaneA, under the ping test, four packets lost. Borrowing a computer is not an option with my closeness of hardware, clutter and lack of space. I would not subject anyone to this.

Re: FVS114 New On Network, No Telephone
This afternoon Linksys telephoned and we finally got a secondary router installed. I am not inclined to mess with this configuration; but I do not understand why the FVS114 did not work, unless it has to do with either differences Windows XP has with subsequent operating systems or the differences with allowable address ranges. Most network peripherals begin with 192.168.1, not 192.168.0. I had to attach the secondary router, the wired Linksys RT31P2, to the computer. Then in Control Panel, Network and Sharing, Change Adapter Settings I had to obtain the routers address under Local Area Connection, Status and Details. Online under the router's settings I had to change the address to one within the range of the main router and disable DHCP.
