FVS318G Killing Cable Speed
Hi -
I'm running an FSV318G in a home network. Speeds directly out of the cable modem are 170mbps down, 12mbps up. After FSV318G 18MBPS down, 10 up.
What can I do?
Thanks.

Re: FVS318G Killing Cable Speed
Hi Chrisla,
It seems that you currently have an FVS318Gv1 which has a lower LAN-to-WAN throughput. I suggest that you need to have a firewall router wherein its LAN-to-WAN throughput is higher than 170Mbps.
You may want to check the FVS318Gv2, FVS318N or FVS336Gv3 which has a LAN-to-WAN throughput higher than 170Mbps. Kindly check their specifications here.

Re: FVS318G Killing Cable Speed
Hi Dane -
Thanks for all of the great info and the welcome to the group.
I opted to go with the FVS318N and that seems to have solved all of the issues.
Thanks again for your help!
Chris

Re: FVS318G Killing Cable Speed
We have never seen higher than 60Mbps on our fvs318n. What version of hardware/firmware is yours?
