FVS336v3 NBN connection

Does anyone know if the FVS336v3 can be connected to the Austrailan NBN connecting via the service provider TPG. No matter what I have done to date it will not connect and I have tried most?

Also does the new model BR500 connect to the NBN?

Model: FVS336Gv3|ProSafe dual WAN gigabit firewall with SSL and IPSec VPN

Re: FVS336v3 NBN connection

Hi stevenshaw,

Welcome to our community! 🙂

We don't really have any compatibility issues regarding NBN. May I know if the FVS336v3 is going to be connected to a router or modem? You may need to check the IP address of the router as it will cause an IP conflict connecting from NBN.

The main issue is in this link https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Broadband-Internet/Alternate-router-to-use-on-HFC/td-p/863 on the first page down in the thread the VLAN settings linked to the 802.1Q tag.

TPG set up is in the following link.

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Hardware-VPN-Firewalls-and/FVS336-V2-NBN/m-p/1701247 this link asked the same question but for the FVS336v2 - no answer either.

Also I am not interested in the VOIP function.

@stevenshaw,

I see. My apologies. I'm not familiar with that. As per checking, you may just need to assign VLAN ID 2 to the WAN port. That's what I read on the thread that you shared and we cannot do it on the FVS336Gv3.
