Port Membership
Device: NETGEAR ProSafe™ Gigabit 8 Port VPN Firewall FVS318N
Firmware: Firmware Version : 4.3.1-22
The UI allows you to set 'VLAN Membership" from both the "LAN Setup" screen and "Edit VLAN Profile" screen. I've noticed that the values don't have to match, for example the "LAN Setup" screen Port4 can show a different value (a profile name) than what is displayed in that VLAN's profile. Why is that and what does it really mean if they match or don't match?

Re: Port Membership
I believe this is because a LAN port can be a member of different VLANs.

Re: Port Membership
So an example is that under lan setup vlan 1 is for ports 1-8, and vlan 2 is for port 2 only, and you can set port 8 to default to vlan2?
