ProSafe FVS336v3 Opening Port for a Program/Port Forwarding
Hi, I have two Prosafe FVS336v3 routers with different WANs and LANs. I am running MySQL on a Ubuntu server v.18.04 on the one LAN and a WWW Apache server on the other. I want to connect to the MySQL server via a PHP script from the WWW server. I've tried to open port 3306 on both routers both by port forwarding and port triggering, but neither method works. The servers tell me that the port is closed. External testing, like with Shields Up, also report that the port remains closed. Is this a firmware issue?

Hi @perryhs,
Are both FVS336Gv3 behind another router? If yes, then you have a Double NAT scenario. Kindly access and read the articles below:
How to fix issues with Double NAT
Also, what is the current firmware version of both FVS336Gv3?

Re: ProSafe FVS336v3 Opening Port for a Program/Port Forwarding
Hi and thanks for your reply. I have used this Netgear series in a teaching senario with a double NAT, but that is not the case here. Each of my FVS336Gv3 routers has a public IP address on the WAN in the case that I am posting here. Is there any way of testing this?
Best regards,
Perry
