SRX5308 Stopping outbound traffic

Recently I was advised that some hardware I'm using for my security cameras may be sending data to an external IP address without my knowledge.  Frankly I'm stumped on where to begin to look and see if this is happening.  I'm looking for articles or advise to educate me on how I can configure my SRX5308 to look for this traffic, identify the source of the traffic, and utimately stop it from leaving my network.  Any assistance on how best to proceed would be appreciated.

Re: SRX5308 Stopping outbound traffic

Hi CLTBWC,

You can configure Logging, Alerts, and Event Notifications on the SRX5308 as well as enable SysLogs.  Kindly read pages 362-366 of the SRX5308 reference manual here.

For SysLogs, you will need to make a PC/laptop to be a syslog server.  You may want to use the free trial version of Kiwi Syslog Server here.

Re: SRX5308 Stopping outbound traffic

@CLTBWC,

I just want to follow-up on this.  Were you able to configure Logging, Alerts, and Event Notifications on your SRX5308 or set up a SysLogs server?
