SRXN3205 and VDSL
Hello,
we have replace our WNDR3700 with the SRXN3205, because it can't handle very much WLAN clients.
But now we are facing the problem, that the router doesn't use the full speed of the VDSL. In different tests we only get 60 MBps, but 100 MBps is possible.
To ensure that it isn't a WLAN problem, we used wired connections, but it didn't improve the results.
The WNDR3700 uses the full 100 MBps. I am wrong, that the SRXN3205 can handle VDSL? In the specifications aren't any informations about that.
I hope there is any possiblity to use the full speed.

Re: SRXN3205 and VDSL
Yes I know these numbers, but I would say that the LAN-to-WAN specification doesn't specify the download rate, because the data comes from LAN and goes to WAN. 🙂
Furthermore I don't use the VPN functionality, yet.
PS: There is a funny problem with the internet connection. It is available, but no client can connect to the internet. DNS lookups are possible, but no data download. Rebooting solves the problem, but it can't be the solution.

Oh ... that isn't good ...
Perhaps I find another business device which provides that feature.
Have you an idea for our internet problem?

Re: SRXN3205 and VDSL
it's not feature... you need CORRECT wan-lan through put spec
VDSL has NOTHING to do with router/gateway does NOT have built-in modems
if you need business class that will do over 100Mbps then
http://www.netgear.com/business/products/security/wired-VPN-firewalls/SRX5308.aspx
or prosesure UTM series (prosecure.netgear.com)
***FVS318N is newest that is wireless unit and spec at 95Mbps yet small builder spec 60Mbps at result on their site

I used the wrong word, sorry, I need a router which supports 100 MBps on WAN-side.
