Re: View active connections

@Emy77,

To check what the devices that are currently connected via LAN and wireless, access the web-GUI of the FVS318N then go to Network Configuration > LAN Setup > LAN Groups.  Kindly read pages 68-72 of the FVS318N reference manual here

Re: View active connections

Hi, just another doubt ... on this page I see ARP Table, but I do not see the active links at that time! If I rename "unknown" in the name of the connected device "Smartphone" (for example), this always stays in the table even when not connected!

@Emy77,

Kindly post a screenshot of the ARP Table you are referring to.

Re: View active connections

HI Emy

Please note that the arp table has some caching so if the device has been seen previously in the network could take a few minutes to disappear.

However if you edit the name and save the binding this will be kept in the table even if it's not connected. The prupose of this bindings is not to change the name is to set up a binding between MAC and IP so  you can add firewalls rules to avoid any IP or MAC violation.

Hope it helps

Re: View active connections

Hi, I know the ARP TABLE functionally, I thought that in this form you could see connected devices even if renamed ... if instead this mask is ARP Table then obviously the operation is correct.

Thank you

Emiliano
