Vpn

We have a GS724Tv4 Switch and a FVS336Gv2 router that doen't issue DHCP the server does. There are 8 VPN setup. The others all work, but one works on remote stations but not to the servers. Ports 5-8, 9-11, 24-25 are all to servers. I can ping the VPN from a port outside the server ports. If I'm on the Server will not ping. If I'm in a Virtual on the server, I can Ping. Tried Firewalls up down and sideways But I'm just going crazy.Doesn't seem to be an IP problem. I'm just clueless.

Re: Vpn

Diagram it with IP's/Masks/Default Gateways.

How are the VPN's setup?

IPSec, SSL VPN?

VPN client software?

Re: Vpn

VPN IP on the FVS318N is set to 10.30.30.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 10.30.30.1 passes through a static ip at customer sight.

The router is set up as,

it issues ip 10.30.30.100-150

the devices that I'm ping are printer and scanner

10.30.30.20 (printer)

10.30.30.99 (scanner)

I can ping these front my desktop but not server

at the other end

it hits the FVS336G

has a VPN setup for 10.30.30.0 / 255.255.255.0

No SSL VPN

No VPN Client software

Is that what you wanted ?

Re: Vpn

Your problem is that both ends have the same subnet of 10.30.30.x.  Change one of them to something like 10.30.31.x

Re: Vpn

Sorry I was away for awhile, We have other that use the same scheme like 19.19 16.16 but I will try that. We had to do something different there. Since it hadn't been working for so log, the ping was dynamics as to static, or atleast that's what someone pointed out but it worked with other's. Thank you VPN Henry

Re: Vpn

Yeah, sorry it took so long for an answer.  The different subnet address for each vpn endpoint would probably have solved the issue.

And dynamic ips will work fine.  The only issue is when they change, but since these are 24x7 'on' connections that won't happen unless your internet or routers go down for a day or more.  And in that case, you'd probably have bigger issues at that point...
