fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow
Hello Netgear Community,
I'm new here and hope to get some help.
We are using Netgear FSV318v2.
Configuration:
WAN Side: Static IP4 Adress
LAN (Nat configured) with DHCP Range in 1 VLAN
About 10 times portforwarding for IP cameras configured with different port range.
About 10 Mbit constant traffic
Everything is working great after rebooting the Router, but after a while there is a lot of traffic loss.
Tried by pinging the Google server:
Ping statistics for 188.21.9.119:
Packets: Sent = 102, Received = 74, Lost = 28 (27% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 17ms, Maximum = 3331ms, Average = 565ms
After Reboot:
Ping statistics for 188.21.9.54:
Packets: Sent = 682, Received = 682, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 16ms, Maximum = 34ms, Average = 17ms
What is more, I get the following log entry and can't find dokumentation about:
Tue Jan 26 09:04:41 2016(GMT+0000) [FVS318Gv2][Kernel][KERNEL] <sppe_gre_flow_add> fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow!!
Many Thanks for your help!
kind regards, Daniel

Re: fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow
Hi Cooky,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Just want to clarify, is your NETGEAR firewall an FVS318v2 or FVS318Gv2?
b. Does the same problem occur if there are no firewall rules applied?
c. How is everything connected? Kindly post a screenshot of your detailed network setup.
d. What is the current firmware version of your NETGEAR firewall?
e. Have you tried to perform a factory reset on the NETGEAR firewall then reconfigure it from scratch and check if same problem occurs?
I look forward to your response.
Regards,
DaneA

Re: fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow
Hi DaneA,
a. It's an FVS318Gv2?
b. Does the same problem occur there are no firewall rules applied?
No, because then there is'nt any traffic from cameras.
c. How is everything connected? Kindly post a screenshot of your detailed network setup.
d. What is the current firmware version of your NETGEAR firewall?
Firmware 4.3.3-6
e. Have you tried to perform a factory reset on the NETGEAR firewall then reconfigure it from scratch and check if same problem occurs?
Yes, I have. Furthermore I use this configuration on 4 different locations/devices at the moment. Everywhere with the same result.

Re: fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow
Hi Cooky,
Thanks for the response. Here are my follow-up questions:
a. If you will connect the PC directly to the Cisco modem, would there be any traffic loss?
b. Have you just upgraded the firmware recently? If yes, does same problem happened with the previous firmware version.

DaneA

Re: fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow
Hi DaneA
a. If you will connect the PC directly to the Cisco modem, would there be any traffic loss?
No, there is no traffic loss
b. Have you just upgraded the firmware recently? If yes, does same problem happened with the previous firmware version.
Yes, the problem occured on previous version. Then I have updated to the newest firmware, hoping to solve the problem.
After updating it seemed to be great for a while (about 1 hour), but then the error is comming back.
Do you know what this Error Message in Log mean?
kind regards,
Cooky

Re: fail to add IPv4 from-LAN flow
Hi Cooky,
Since the same problem has also occurred using the previous firmware version and its happening on all of your FVS318Gv2 deployed in different locations, I encourage you to open an online case with NETGEAR Support and let them know about the issue you have experienced. NETGEAR Support will also help you analyze the system logs you are getting on the FVS318Gv2 as well.
Regards,
DaneA
