I am setting a WiFi network with organization-wide SSID enabled using Insight Web Portal. When I try to enable the Basic Captive Portal, an error message "Only alphanumeric characters and special characters !"#$%&'()*+,-.\/:;<=>?@[]^_`{|}~ are allowed". With further checking on my EULA, the portal declines any special characters listed in the mentioned error message be included in my EULA. In another word, the system allows my to use "By using the WiFi service provided by our organization" as my EULA, but prohibits me to use "By using the WiFi service provided by our organization,". The last "comma" trigger the error message. Maybe this is a bug?

We receive weekly email messages about credits that are about to expire or have already expired. However, this does not state which organization or device it concerns. Now it becomes a puzzle every time. It would be nice to generate a report of all organizations in our portal. For example: I would like to receive every week an overview of all credits from all organizations by email, preferably with the expiration date.

Hi, I would like to Control the roaming. Like a customer with thin or large walls might need diffrent roaming settings for best customer preformance. Something like a SNR setting or RSSI. Or similar control to make client move earlier or later depending on network and pysical limitations per site. Example, i have a customer where the wall between rooms are 1m thick with Iron rebar and steel sheet reinnforced. This customer needs a SNR of 15 to make sure that the client stays just long enough to have enough signal for the next jump.

The following switch models, currently do not support TLS connectivity for the admin WEBUI, which in this day and age really not acceptable. Models: GS305EPP GS308E (Additionally this switch model does not have a username, you login using just a password). Please can the firmware for the above models be updated to ensure that admin WEBUI access is able to use TLS v1.2 and v1.3 with best practise ciphers.

En permettant aux utilisateurs de personnaliser l'apparence de la page de connexion, nous pourrions offrir une expérience plus personnalisée et professionnelle. De plus, cette fonctionnalité pourrait également aider à renforcer la marque de notre entreprise en permettant aux clients de voir notre logo et nos couleurs d'entreprise chaque fois qu'ils se connectent à notre réseau Wi-Fi. Hello, We use insight pro and have onboarded quite a few clients. Since every device we onboard comes with a 1 year device credit, we tend to have credits expiring almost every month. We also have monthly billing enabled. The issue is that there is a large banner warning about device credit expiration in both the web and mobile apps. Since we have monthly billing enabled, it would be great to be able to hide or remove this banner since it confuses our techs and takes up a lot of space (especially in the mobile app). We are basically stuck with this banner most months. Thanks, Jason

Hi, In France, we must be able to provide our internet wifi logs for 1 year. With or Without captive portal. I know we can do it with captiv portal (web history). But actually we can not do it if we don't use captive portal. I can find in the management interface of wifi access point WAXxxx the possibility to activate "url tracking" but logs doesn't stay for a long time and we need to connect to each wifi access point to find and download them. We know we can do it with snmp too but custommers will need a new system to manage it. It coudl be very useful to have the possibility to activate url tracking from insight. By this way we could have the possibility to generate the web history (internet logs) for all access points/devices/SSID without captive portal. Captiv portal is not ergonomic for inside machine and users. Thanks in advanced fir your reply

When building a guest network in Insight, it's important to be able to rate limit throughput per client so that no one client can consume all available bandwidth on that SSID/vLan. It can be accomplished via QoS on the APs themselves, but Inisght will not recognize those configs and the config change wouldn't be replicated to other APs. Additionally, the QoS config may be destroyed by Inisght upon config updates. Hello Netgear Team, In the insight web cloud portal, the WIFI user has very few options for external authentication. The existing external method is only by the RADIUS server. However, if an SMB organization does not have a radius server, they must use only the PSK method for authentication because there is no flexibility for external authentication. So, if NETGEAR adds or introduces LDAP (Active Directory) integration for external authentication, the flexibility to choose the authentication method will be provided. It would be immensely helpful to be able to add/edit names of client devices. It would be heck of a lot easy to figure out what each device is... Should be whatever system gets by default and then allowing user to edit, so I can name something like "Printer by Coffee machine"

I was informed by support that UPnP cannnot be turned off if we use insight. Many folks like to keep UPnP off for security reasons. If it is needed for insight then perhaps you can add some additional options so that it is active in a limited scope. Example, only allow Insight to utilize this

I really like the NetGear Equipment and the ease of use in the cloud tool. But there is one major issue for an MSP. There is no way to assign a specific license to a device! I have a number of customers, who have purchased different duration of license. If you have two customers that have expiring or near expiring license, and one of them decides on 3 years and another on 1 and you add the codes in all at the same time. You can now only allocate a number of licenses. So one customer may get 3 years when they paid for 1. I think you seriously need to review your allocations tools, unless I am missing som

We have quite a few of the Business class WAX214 AP's and need to remotely manage these AP's in the absence of Insight management capability, previous versions of Netgear's AP's (WAC205/WAC210) do support this function, can you add this feature to make it truly more of a Business class AP? The situation is that you can only manage the WAX214 from the local LAN whereas we need to have some sort of remote access to support configuration changes and such, i.e. from the Internet across a router using a public IP address and specific port No. which then forwards (via port forwarding) towards the AP on the local LAN. Alternatively can you add the WAX214 on the list for support using the Insight Web management platform.

For Hotels and other businesses which have a variety of clientele from different nationalities. While it's potentially a small change it would be advantageous to have proper multi-language support the for the instant captive portal product. The current captive portal, while you can enter your own labels / terms and conditions. The actual interface remains in english, looking very un-professional. Simply making the option to pick a langage for the interface would help or allowing edditing of the entry button / other text and links. This could be taken a step further and allow for several languages, with a dropdown option to change to the clients preffered language in the captive portal. This allows us to then present terms and conditions in other languages and one could tailor advertising to match. Creating a much more professional and useful product in the long run.
