Hi, I would like to see how much data in total is consumpted per device, i.e. a month, in either my BR200 or preferably in the webportal. Is this possible?

Please ensure NTGR does publish the Letter of Volatility (LOV) along with the product support download pages. We see that requests for LOV are taking reasonable bandwidth in the community support, temporary file downloads will be enabled with valid for a few days only. This makes the replies virtually useless, because the download is no longer available. So we see requests for the same product LOV again, or we get new posts. All this can be avoided...
Thank you for consideration!
Regards,
-Kurt

Why won't you support net defender suite on Orbi Pro AC3000 series mesh wifi. It would help small businesses with Intrusion Prevention, Anti Virus etc.

We were wondering if you all could change the firmware for the Orbi SXS80 satellites to where we could put in our own IP address for the satellites. I could not find SXS80 in the Model list. Thanks

Please remove the requirement to use the https:// protocol for remote admin aonnectonis to the Orbi, given that there is no way to insall an SSL cert in a router. All this does is to force us to constatnly bypass the browser warnings about an insecure conneciton. Not sure how there could everr be a use for tthis in the first place and for some reason the Orbi Busienss model router seems to be one of the few that don't allow you to choose the prptocol even thouugh you would think the business model would have MORE features and ptions than the home model.

Could you please add a simple “identify” button on the insight app that makes the satellite start blinking the LED light? When you are trying to figure out which satellite you are working on ?????

Please take off the restriction that Insighht will only show Ethernet wired clients that are LLDP enabled. There should be a way to find the mac address of a device and other relevant information like it's assigned IP address, and which Switch it may be connected to. There's so much more information given on the CLIENTS tab for wireless connections, but on the Wired connection unless the device support LLDP then its totally missing. I think this is pretty poor to help in investigations into what is happening for clients that plug in physically using Ethernet.

I don't think this is possible, as I've not found a way to do this at all, but in the Clients tab, I have a growling list of disconnected clients that just won't even be here again - some clients were transitory - so how does this list get managed so that clients which are no longer of any interested can be removed instead of this growing into a monster database table? Can NetGlear place a button to remove discovered disconnected clients since if they appear again, they will just be rediscovered to keep the client's table running quick/smooth without unnecessary data from transient clients?

I and everyone else in the community would appreciate our device view being repaired for our smart switches in service. I want to but more switches for my network, including some 10gbe switches. But I don't want to buy more switches where all the features don't work. This Device View Java isssue has been ongoing since 2015 from reading the community website. In my opinion trashing all our switches and buying all new switches to fix a firware issue is a ridiculous option. Please give your customers some quality customer service and produce a firmware update to correct this problem...

I request that fast roaming (802.11-r, 802.11-k and 802.11v) be exposed via the user interface so that client devices (IOS/Android) can seemlessly migrate between APs in an ensemble. I know the hardware supports those standards, but the UI does not provide a mechanism to enable it without the purchase of a contoller or cloud based service in a consumer home network.
I have read the post which also asks for the same functionallity showing other hardware providers have the functionallity exposed to end-users. I am not comfortable accessing the CLI without documentation from Netgear.

Insight App and pc portal for OrbiPro6 SXR80 When I configure or troubleshoot via the pc portal via entering in browser the IP address of router, I can see which satellite a device is connected to, or that the device is connected to the router directly. This helps immensely in troubleshooting weak connections or connectivity between devices. Neither the insight pc portal nor the insight app for iPhone provide this level of information. The “Topography” concept in Insight should have forks off of each satellite for devices connected to each satellite, but instead it shows all devices connected directly to the router -which is not true. Can this be improved in the next version of Insight app and pc interface? PS, OrbiPro6 SXR80 is NOT allowed to be entered in “Model” Recommended... input above Thank you.

The Orbi Pro features one option for Wireless 2 (Employee Access Wireless Network):
[ ] Allow employees to see each other and access my local network.
This is a giant issue. I, along with many other users posting here would like to use Wireless 2 for a seperate private network for employees that has internet access, but we all need them to see each other and SEE PRINTERS BUT NOT INTERACT WITH OR SEE WIRELESS 1. This is such a simple network isolation feature and just about every other router can do this.
Please, PLEASE add one more checkbox to this so I can choose:
[ ] Allow employees to see each other on the Wireless 2 network.
[ ] Allow employees to access my full local network.
That way if I check option 1 employee clients or special guests on Wireless 2 can see and interact with clients on Wireless 2, including printers and are still seperate from clients on Wireless 1.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CODING, ADD THIS FEATURE!!!
Other Threads mentioning this exact issue which has not yet been addressed:

We have just had smoothwall implemented and are trying to get BYOD working. Smoothwall have looked into this and stated that our wireless is not providing Framed IP's which is essential to the smoothwall BYOD system working please see notes below:
Framed-IP-Address — This contains the IP address of the client that has been authorized to join the wireless network. This attribute is essential to the BYOD service.
Could this feature be added in a firmware update? we have 2 wc7600 controllers and over 80 access points so pretty stuck at the moment

Hi Netgear Community,
Before I contact Netgear support to give feedback in regards to the quality of their wireless controllers I wanted to seek clarification from Netgear community about an issue we are currently facing at our site.
We would like to utilise the Radius accounting information generated by our WC7600v2 (firmware v6.5.1.11) to be utilised by our Windows 2012r2 NPS server. The specific attribute we need is the "Framed-IP-Address" attribute to contain the IP address of the client / user requesting the authentication. This attribute is helpful in identifying successfully authenticated clients to be simultaneously authenticated against other systems i.e. like internet filters. Some internet filters providers utilise agent software that can sit on a Windows NPS server and read the logs generated by the NPS service and automatically apply the appropriate internet access policy to the client devices / users at the moment of wireless authentication essentially providing a Single Sign On process.
After attempting to undertake this process at a site that utilises a Netgear WC7600v2 we have come to the conclusion that the WC7600v2 does not provide the Framed-IP-Address. This has been confirmed by reviewing the NPS server logs where Framed-IP-Address radius attribute is 0.0.0.0 for all clients authenticating via the WC7600v2
Thanks to previous advice on this forum, we were able to make contact with Netgear text based support and after sometime the Netgear technician, he was able to confirm that the WC7600v2 does not provide the Framed-IP-Address as part of its radius account response to the NPS (radius) server. This feature maybe included sometime in the future but could not give any ETA on its implementation; he was also able to confirm that other customers of the WC7600 series have requested this feature to be implemented.
What my site is trying to perform is something that is not to complex, I have done it many times via cisco / h3c / Aruba controllers and wireless implementations. These devices are more compliant with the RFC 2866 radius standard than what Netgear equipment is, even though your product information sheet (https://www.netgear.com/images/datasheet/wireless/wirelessmanagement/WC7600v2.pdf) states that the controller is complaint with this spec.
How are we meant to recommend Netgear equipment to clients in enterprise when the device does not standard up against large enterprise network equipment manufactures. I can understand something like "it will be included in the next firmware release" but when something like "No ETA at this time" it makes us feel like recommending to the site management the entire removal the Netgear wireless implementation and going for something "more enterprise".
Do you think if the site invested in Prosafe support agreement it would carry more weight with Netgear in implementing a basic feature like a more extensive implementation of the RFC 2866 accounting standard?
I hope that I do not come across as too negative in this forum thread, but was hoping to provide constructive feedback to help improve your products and the process to improve them.
Peter

This is actually re a BR200. Using insight Cloud portal, I am unable to expand the DHCP IP range beyond 254 clients The application does not le me edit the 3rd octet of the ending IP address. Setting desired IP: 192.168.30.1 Sub: 255.255.254.0 begin IP: 192.168.30.2 end IP: 192.168.31.254 Insight cloud does not let me edit the 3drd octet. It stays at 192.168.30.254 ... cant change it to 31 I can, however make this change in the BR200 interface directly after I have setup the network in Insight Cloud Portal this is a BUG thanks

Most Smart Managed Pro including cloud manageable switches (many more than the ones tagged) offer a comprehensive list of DoS checks to enable/disable individually. It does not help much just showing that a port was shut down due to DoS. We need much more information on the DoS event detected in the logs. We had several reports and queries in the community on why ports were shut down unexpectedly. ....

It is a very unsafe design to have the switch listen to every VLAN that's configured as untagged in one of its physical ports for its web management. It would be a relatively simple change to add a specific vlan to listen to for management, regardless of whether a port is marked untagged for this vlan or not. See: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Smart-Plus-and-Smart-Pro-Managed/GS108Ev3-Cannot-set-VLAN-for-management-interface/td-p/971240 Please change this

The BR500 comes only with Port Forwarding. It needs a 1:1 NAT feature similar to the FVS338 firewall device. Port forwarding is not a viable solution since my business deals with static public IP addresses that need a hard 1:1 assignment to an internal NATed address assigned to a server (e.g., Exchange Server, IIS, etc.). The FVS338 feature/facility worked great - just copy it into the BR500.

I want to make a time schedule for one POE port from 20:00 to 8:00 next day it should be disabled. This is now not possible. I have to make two schedules one from 20:00 to 23:59 and one from 0:00 to 8:00 but does not give the intende result since from 23:59 to 0:00 the port goes on. This because 24:00 is nota valid value and in fact it has to be valid.
Other option could be set with the schedule is the port has to switched of or on then the rule could be from 8:00 to 20:00 switch the port on other time switch it of . repeat this for every day.
