MS510TXUP which sfp+ transceovers?
Hi,
Which sfp+ transceivers are officially suggested for MS510TXUP please? I have pair of Mikrotik as they auto negotiate below 1G and up to 10G inc 2.5G & 5G in between and where £60 each. The Netgear ones I've seen online are £300 each and don't know why?
Any advice please?

Officially supported are the ones listed on the MS510TXM, MS510TXUP Data Sheet p. 13 under Optional Modules, Software Licenses and Accessories

Severl aspects potential buyers need to understand_
- SFP and SFP+ modules were originally designed for fiber links, less for 10GBase-T.
- The modules don't magically translate multiple link speed rates to the switch SFP host port - the possible link speed might depend on what the effective device (switch, the PCI adapter, ...) does allow.
- The possible supported distance is limited to about 30 meters for the lower cost modules (because the power available is limited on the SFP/SFP+ garage ports), while more expensive ones support up to 80 meters (which is less than the theoretical Ethernet copper PHY distance).
Therefore: Buyers, beware - and please be aware of the technology limitations.

Re: MS510TXUP which sfp+ transceovers?
OK thanks. I'm on 1.13G Virgin Gig1 service but considering higher services when available on our street. The CAT8 link coming into the ms510txup is only 20m so don't require 80m per se its the auto negotiation and 10G capability I'm after.
