I cant access the switch. This is the first time setting it up and the first time im trying to access the switch. i cant get info from netgear becasue it says my serial number is not valid. im not sure i have the right number..

The switch is in the same subnet used by the computer NIC port when in DHCP-client mode without a DHCP server present. Use this IP value to log in to the switch.
I got ahold of tech support yesterday around 8 pm CALI time and they think its a defective unit i tried the DB9 cable the USB cable and ethernet cable methods they discribed and we still couldnt get to the user interface. fingers crossed said ill have a new unit monday. Thanks for the help sensi.
