FSM7328PS
FSM7328PS communication settings
Can you tell me about models and settings that can be updated?
In the current network,
From terminal set to VLAN20, IP (128.21.2.20/16) GW (128.21.2.254)
Communication with terminal set to VLAN30, IP (128.21.3.3/16) GW (128.21.3.254).
Because the subnet mask of the terminal is set to / 16, packets are normally transferred to another VLAN segment.
Packets should not be transferred, but if you use ping to communicate, routing is performed and communication is possible
It is.
Generally, it is considered that communication is not possible with such settings, but the current terminal settings
What kind of settings are required to make such communication possible with updated models?
Excuse me, can you point out?
Model number FSM7328PS
(1) Set ports 5 to 18 to vlan20. Ports 19 to 20 are set to vlan30.
②vlan20 NW of 128.21.2.20/16, vlan30 NW of 128.21.3.30/16

Re: FSM7328PS
Hi @okamurayu
Welcome to Community!
For two terminals in your test bed(terminal1: 128.21.2.20/16, terminal2: 128.21.3.3/16), as you set both two terminal with 16 bit mask, so it will be treated as same subnet(128.21.0.0/16).
Could you please change mask to 24 bit and try again?
Hope it helps!
Regards,
EricZ
