GS108TV3 snmpget unknown user admin
I have setup the switch to use the web browser interface (GUI) from thelocal LAN connection only.
When I log in using firefox and username jgraham@traclabs.com and my password, the GUI says 'Welcome admin' in the upper right corner. This is fine.
From my ubuntu linux laptop, I can use the following command with good results:
`snmpget 10.0.0.123 -v3 -u admin -lnoAuthNoPriv -On IF-MIB::ifInOctets.1`
I get back the mib/oid info.
I am trying to set up an IDENTICAL netgear switch, but when I run the above command I get the error 'no such user' I assume for 'admin'.
How do I get 'admin' to be recognized from snmpget?
I looked through the entire GUI and the pdf manual and did some web searching but have not been able to figure it out.

You might get better and quicker replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section for your device:
Switches - NETGEAR Communities
No need to repost there, unless you want to – that will just clutter up the place with duplicated messages – but you might find advice related to your hardware.
I have asked the Netgear moderator to move your message.
