GS728TX
We are planning to purchase 4 Netgear S3300-GS728TX and for our requirement, this model is just right considering the price.
Can somebody please clarify if one of the SFF ports are used as uplink, the 2nd SFF port can be used as ethernet as long as it is configured that way. Is it the same way with the 2 Copper uplinks?
Is this correct?
Thank you very much.

Re: GS728TX
Hi @artbermas
Thanks for considering our S3300 Stackable Smart Switches. You are correct, the two Fiber (SFP+) ports and the two Copper (10GBASE-T RJ45) port are all independent and good for local Ethernet role or Uplinks. From a configuration standpoint, it doesn't really matter because they come in Ethernet mode already, out of the box. The "uplink" role is automatic if you wish - same Ethernet mode supports downlinks and uplinks.
You can change the configuration and have two ports, out of these four ports, simultaneously running in Stacking mode. This, for creating a stack.
Let us know of any questions!

Re: GS728TX
Thank you very much for the confirmation.
Can't wait to get my hands on those new Netgears.
We are long overdue for an upgrade.
Thanks again.
