GSM7352S Switch Woes

I am having problems with our 3 GSM7352S switches (I suspect these are v1 switches), which are stacked. For the past 2 weeks I have been restarting them every 2-3 business days. Prior to July I have had to reboot them around once a month. The web interface has not worked for at least 6 months, I do all configuration via a serial connection.

I just need to make it through the next few months, we should be replacing the switches by the end of the year as part of a new phone system.

The switches came with version 5.x of the firmware. In hopes of not having to reboot every month we updated the firmware to 7.3.1.7, which never helped. After years of the web interface not working it did start working again, but then stopped working.

When we had switch problems today I used the clear config command. As the switches restarted the following error showed up on the console:
(Unit 1)>Port ge0: bcm_port_info_get failed: Operation failed

I checked the buffered log and saw errors such as the following:

The switches are on our LAN and the setup is plain jane, after clearing the configuration I didn't need to make any changes.

Any suggestions on my next step are welcome:

Should I upgrade the firmware to 8.0.3.11?

Should I check any of the settings, such as turning off Spanning Tree. BTW, we are an all Mac shop, are there still problems with Macs and Spanning Tree or was this fixed a few years ago?

Is there anything I should be looking for in the switch logs?

Re: GSM7352S Switch Woes

I wanted to add a note. Added ACLs for list 110 so only my computer could administer the switch. Previously I was using a serial connection from a computer next to the switch or telneting from my computer. After making the ACL change I was able to both telnet and use the web interface from my computer for the first time in months. I tried other computers and they seem to be locked out. So I will if setting ACLs to restrict administration will help. I can't imagine that someone in our LAN was trying to do something with the switch but perhaps it was errant packets and there is a problem elsewhere on the LAN that was knocking out the switch. I will check the web interface every morning. Back when the web interface worked many moons ago, failure of the web interface was a sign that the switch would have problems within a few days.
