I want to disable STP on specific ports only
I want to disable STP on specific ports only.
(I do not want to disable the entire STP)
In [Switchng]-[Ports]-[PortConfigration]
Check the port you want to disable.
Select STPmode to Disable and Apply.
Can this disable STP on specific ports only?

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
Thank you very much.
I did not want to touch Netgear's devices, so I wanted you to tell me.

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
Disabling STP on a port basis seems possible, but I'd really reconsider the reasoning as to why you'd want to do that. You can disable it in the interface context (at least on the M4300's) using the 'no spannin-tree port mode' command in the CLI.
If a loop is caused by such a port it cannot be stopped to quickly become a broadcast storm tearing down larger segments of your network. It's like using a safety belt for the driver but not your passengers.
There are other ways if you run into issues because STP blocks a port for a short time before it becomes online like 'spanning-tree edgeport' and using RSTP or MSTP instead of the legacy STP protocol.

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
The reason that STP is invalidated at a specific port.
I'd like to link 2 of LAN by a connection with the switch.
But when 2 of LAN is linked, a loop occurs, and a port is downed.
2 LANs use VLAN1 and VLAN245 respectively.
(I'm using AccessPort.)
A connection destination of 2 LANs is the same switch.

But for a loop to occur to use different VLAN by 2 of LAN, a possibility that it's blocked in STP is considered.

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
The elegant solution would be the configuration of a tagged trunk (LAG), carrying traffic for both [V]LANs.

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
I'm thinking about setting with a trunk port, but I want to think with an access port as much as possible.

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
In your case and since you explained your topology later as in the initial post one 1 of the 2 links will be blocked by both STP and RSTP.
Technicaly you could consider MSTP - ignoring the originally vendor-specific PVST and RPVST/PVST+ modes - but then again, @schumaku 's suggestion of creating an LAG on both ends and tag all VLANs on the LAG interface is proven to work (for me) and provides proper redundancy where both links can be used by all VLANs.
However the Dell switch needs to support link aggregation with LACP. You might also have to fiddle out what mode (dynamic or static LAG) works with both vendors.
Keep your STP configuration simple and it will work reliably when loops occur. Don't try to outsmart it 😉

Re: I want to disable STP on specific ports only
Thank you.
This Netgear does not have MSTP configured.
The Netgear is mobile and VLAN 1 is also used for important communication.
If you set MSTP, does it affect all ports using VLAN 1 or VLAN2 or VLANx?
