M4300-24X-T MACID of connected devices

Hello all, I’m new to Netgear.
Installed two of these switches and I am remote to where the switches are. I’m trying to get the MACID of the devices connected to each of the ports but neither the GUI nor the CLI helps.

The GUI address table option repeats the same port number multiple times and also does not include all the ports where a device connected.

The CLI “show mac-addr-table” doesn’t help either.

I am expecting just one output against each port where a device is connected with the devices MACID. Is there a way to get that info?

Thanks for your time and assistance!

That’s perfectly normal. Ports where another switch or WiFi access point is connect will be associated with multiple MAC addresses. Ports where there was no traffic detected will not have any MAC addresses associated with them and thus they will not show up on the list.

Thank you! But that still doesn’t answer my question. How do I find MACIDs of all the devices connected to the M4300? Is there a way to do it?

I believe your switch supports LLDP. If the devices connected to it also support LLDP, you can find that information in the switch’s LLDP neighborhood. Apart from this and the MAC Address table, I’m not aware about any other quick way of doing it.

Ok looks like there is no way to find the MACIDs of only those devices connected to the switch ports. That is a huge disappointment for something that is marketed as an enterprise product.
