Hello,
Product Name | M4300-96X ProSAFE 96-port 10G, 12.0.17.7, B1.0.0.16 |
The module on slot 1 in switch is greyed out all the time in "Device View", I tried different slots and that doesn't change anything.
And all ports are in physical status Unknown and Link Status Detach:
The same module on other switch of the same model version and firmware, I don't have this issue like we can see below on slot 1:
In the stack-port configuration every port is in Ethernet mode:
I can never make any port in link status UP with this module on that specific switch...
Could I get some help?

I found where was the problem.
The status of the slot was mismatch in Management -> Slot Configuration
There was a different model connected before.
Just delated the old one and I chose the correct one fixed the problem.

Re: M4300-96X ProSAFE 96-port 10G, Ports Physical Status Unknown & Detach
Welcome to the community! 🙂
Since you mentioned that you encountered no issue when you tried the same module on other switch of the same version & firmware, it is possible that there is a hardware fault on the M4300-96X wherein slot 1 is greyed out all the time. I suggest that you open a support ticket with NETGEAR Support here at anytime for further investigation.
