M4300 InterVLAN between several switches

Hello,

I've been trying to setup a few M4300-24X24F to make my scenario work, but these seem to work a bit different from the ciscos I’ve used in the past.

My setup right now is 4 separate offices, clones from each other:

Bad planning from the start, since the customer now wants that all the PCs connect to a server and the offices are able to communicate to each other.

The blocking point is that changing the IP address of the PCs would imply a lot of extra effort because there are more devices inside the offices that depend on this static IP address that the PCs have.

Is there any way to achieve this since apparently the M4300 do not support a static NAT rule?

I can for example change the configurations of the switches easily so that each office has its own separate vlan. And just trunk a 5th vlan for the server. But how do I make this work?

Hi ARPcPro,

Welcome to community,

I can not access https://imgur.com/yufHx7A ,  i think core switch was  M4300-24X24F in your network, Right?

If you want all pc to access each other, your just neet to set all routing vlan gateway ip address in M4300-24X24F,

Please let me know if you have more detailed requirements.

BTW: Could you please privode your network topo? it will be more helpful.

Thank you

Re: M4300 InterVLAN between several switches

Thank you for the answer. All the 4 PCs (4 offices) have an IP address 192.168.202.10. At the moment all the offices have each own switch with VLAN 202.

Even if I set a different VLAN for each office, I think I would still have the same IP conflicts somehow when I interconnect the switches.

The link https://imgur.com/yufHx7A seems fine. Are sure it is not being blocked by some adblocker?

Re: M4300 InterVLAN between several switches

Hi @ARPcPro ,

You can not configure the confilicting ip address in vlan 202.

You can set different vlan for each office, it means different vlans have different subnet address and all subnet gateway address was set in the M4300.

If you want to avoid manual configuration problems, you can configure DHCP server for each office vlans in the M4300 switch.

Thank you
