M4300 LLDP not transmitted

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a simple LLDP test on one of my device, but it seems that M4300 switch is not sending its own information.

However it receives correctly peer LLDP information.

Here is my configuration on Netgear :

(M4300-28G) #show running-config interface 1/0/13

!Current Configuration:
!
interface 1/0/13
description 'OneVoip30, gigEth 1/0'
switchport mode access
switchport access vlan 1801
exit

(M4300-28G) #

Show :

The statistics indicates that M4300 didn't send any frame to the other device

What can I do ?

Thank you

Re: M4300 LLDP not transmitted

Ok, I'm coming back because I have still issues with LLDP.

After 15h of no issue, I found this morning that LLDP is still stalled. I had to issue a "reload" on CLI to make it work again.

Is this a known issue ?

Re: M4300 LLDP not transmitted

Hi @ALNO

Sorry about that and no, there is no known issue with LLDP on our M4300's. It means we have interoperability issue in your network and we need to understand what is the root cause to fix it together.

Now that you have reloaded the switch, please wait 15 hours or so until you see the issue happening again. Then when the issue is visible, please export the Tech Support file out of the switch and send it to us via Private Message. In this file, our Tech Support and Engineering teams will find everything they need to troubleshoot. It is basically a collection of show and debug commands.

How to get the Tech Support file from your NETGEAR M4300 managed switch:

  • First, please log in to the command line interface of the switch, and from enable mode, run the command: show tech-support. When done, you can proceed with the CLI method or the Web GUI method below.
  • Using CLI, you can use the COPY command, the file to copy is <<nvram:tech-support>>.
  • Using the Web GUI, you can upload the Techsupport file by selecting Select Maintenance > Export > HTTP File Export.
