M7100-24X (XSM7224) switch - Power usage and fans
Hi,
Please can anyone advise what the power usage in Watts is for this unit is if just plugged in with no traffic load?
Also do the fans slow down and speed up with the amount of traffic passing through the switch or do they just stay at 1 speed? Is this unit noisy?
Thanks for any advise.
Kind regards,
James

Hi @NameAlreadyTake,
The M7100-24X (XSM7224) has been EoL; that being said, we can inquire about these but it may take a while so please bear with us.
You may check this link for the EoL list.

Re: M7100-24X (XSM7224) switch - Power usage and fans
Thanks JeraldM. Thanks that would be appreciated.
I'm particularly conscious regarding power usage especoally at the moment, but also from a green perspective... There will be a good portion of the day where traffic is minimal so I'm hoping that ultra low data traffic equals ultra low power consumption.
I'm also hoping the unit will not be noisy when there is little traffic as it will be in the room I work in.
Thanks.
Kind regards,
James

Re: M7100-24X (XSM7224) switch - Power usage and fans
Hi @NameAlreadyTake,
Thank you for patiently waiting!
Upon inquiry, the power usage of the M7100-24X doesn't have much of a difference when it's on the idle state compared to its worst case state.
