Meraki AP connected devices not receiving a IP

Have a quick question regarding configuring Meraki AP. So we have a standard environment with a firewall, netgear switch, and a Meraki AP. We have the Meraki AP plugged into the switch and the firewall plugged into a specific port on the switch. We are wanting to setup a guest network in it's own VLAN so we set that VLAN to 6. Anything connecting to the meraki AP guest network should be tagged with the VLAN 6 and traffic should exit through the firewall. We are able to connect to the SSID we named but devices are not receiving IP addresses from the firewall. We setup the port the firewall is connected to as VLAN 6 and routed all VLAN 6 traffic through it but devices do not receive an IP when connecting, I know it is something minor we are missing. Any guidance would be appreciated

Re: Meraki AP connected devices not receiving a IP

Reads like a missing basic VLAN 1-2-3.

A different VLAN - different from the standard attached, direct connected network, must be configured accordingly.

This requires the router be VLAN aware, the the router, the switch as well as the AP configured for the additional VLAN, eg. able to carry the VLAN  6 network, handle the DHCP and dedicated IP subnet for the intended guest VLAN 6, ... Looking from the AP side, the AP must be connected to a port on he switch configured for the basic (probably untagged) flat IP subnet and untagged for the default VLAN, plus the VLAN 6 being available  tagged on that very same port.

Similar, the router needs to be connected to a switch port, either untagged for the basic network and VLAN, and tagged for the guest VLAN 6, or tagged for the basic VLAN (1?) and the VLAN 6 forming a trunk port. Same for the port where the router is configured.
