Multiple VLANS + VMWARE + M5300 + problem with dhcp
Hello,
I have a newbie question concerning access to the resources available from multiple vlans. On the vmware esxi, that is connected to the Netgear M5300, I have a dhcp server, AD, DNS on the vlan 10 and two webapps on the vlan 20 and 30 respectively. My goal is to create a vlan with the services accessible from every host. PC1 receive the IP address only when the PVID of the port 1/0/3 is set up to 10 (dhcp vlan number) but when I switch them to be a 20 there is no ip assignment. As you can see I added a vlan 10 as the member of this port. Is there anything I forgot about in this configuration?

Hi czysty,
Welcome to our community! 🙂
As per checking, PC1 is not receiving DHCP from VLAN 20 even if the port is already assigned as VLAN 20. May you be able to check the tagging of the server if it is set to Trunk? Most likely, tagged traffic will only pass through if the port is also set to tagged.
