Hi all,
I updated my GS308T to 1.0.5.7 and since then I cannot do my
snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 1 192.168.1.99
anymore.
Even cannot add anything in the SNMP menu, comes back with error
"Default private and public community strings are not allowed."
Netgear Documentation did also give no help here.
Any idea, how to get my snmpwalk working again?
Thanks,
Sven

Using the default community strings public and private are no longer permitted for security policy reasons. You need to change the read-only and read-write community strings in the switch config and adopt the future snmp queries accordingly.

Re: SNMP gone since Update GS308T to firmware 1.0.5.7
Hello sven308,
And welcome to the NETGEAR Community! 🙂
Have you tried downgrading the firmware version to what it use to be before and check if that resolves your issue? If it works fine, you may need to open a ticket with Netgear support team if you wish to keep the switch to updated version 1.0.5.7.
Have a lovely day,
Logan
