Stackable POE switches that support 2.5gbps?

Hello,
One of my clients has S3300 switches. We need to add 1 more switch with 2.5Gbs switch to each stack for new wireless APs. We'd like them to be managed as part of the stack and seen under device view. We'd connect them with the 10gbps port. Each switch needs about 12 ports 2.5gbs - can you tell me what switches we can use?

Hi @boe,
Yes, it should work. However, the M4300 loses some of its functions and matches those with the S3300 when stacked.
A cheaper alternative would be the M4250-12M2XF that uplinks to the S3300 but this will not stack with the S3300.

Re: Stackable POE switches that support 2.5gbps?
Thanks I saw that but it also only says some of the M4 series stacks with the S3 series. It may or may not work - do you know?

Re: Stackable POE switches that support 2.5gbps?
Thanks - not to give you a hard time, just making sure, I don't see it mentioned here - https://www.netgear.com/images/datasheet/switches/smartswitches/S3300-M4300-Mixed-Stacking-Applicati...
"S3300 switches can stack with M4300 select 10G models" I'm concerned it isn't in that select group and I need to run the S3300 firmware on it - not sure where to get that version of the firmware for that model.
I spent 30minutes on hold trying to ask about mixing the two and he said let me check on that - 5 minutes later - you can't mix and match any of the S3300 series with the M4300 series - I told him about the article - another 5 minutes - I see it is possible. I said how about those specific models - let me check.
Not exactly filling me with confidence in tech supports ability to answer the question. I asked as nicely as I could without trying to offend him if there was another tier or group that might be more familiar with this category of question - nope, I'll handle it.

Re: Stackable POE switches that support 2.5gbps?
The application notes are much older than the M4300-16X, so this is a valid question. @LaurentMa svp.

Tech support says it can be done so I think you were right - sorry for questioning - just wanted to be sure before recommending anything to a client.

Re: Stackable POE switches that support 2.5gbps?
Hi Team,
For mixed S3300/M4300 stack, please refer to: https://www.netgear.com/images/datasheet/switches/smartswitches/S3300-M4300-Mixed-Stacking-Applicati... and the associated KB: https://kb.netgear.com/000049533/Smart-M4300-S3300-Stacking-Notes-and-Restrictions
The procedure is explained here:https://kb.netgear.com/000049532/Smart-M4300-S3300-Firmware-Upgrade-Procedure
Latest S3300 firmware also explains this in the release note: https://kb.netgear.com/000063999?_ga=2.249224836.229795878.1644834875-18903587.1639681594
Only M4300 24-port 10G models below support this:
- M4300-12X12F XSM4324S
- M4300-24X XSM4324CS
I hope this helps,
