Vlan configuration in the gs110tp switch
Hi Team,
I am planning to configure 2 Vlan's in the netgear gs110tp switch without ip address and with out router in the stepup.
I am planning to configure static ip for the PC's and here my doubt is when i done the same 2 vlan's will communicate with each other or not?
Model: GS110TP|ProSafe 8 ports gigabit PoE smart switch

Re: Vlan configuration in the gs110tp switch
Can you provide more detail about what you're trying to do? Do you need a device on one vlan to be able to reach a device on the other vlan?

Re: Vlan configuration in the gs110tp switch
Multiple VLAN are configured to ensue there is a segregation of the Layer 2 traffic.
Commonly, one does configure different Layer 3 ie. TCP/IP networks on different VLANs. If these should communicate, one does configure a router (a physical router or a L3 routing capable switch) between the Layer 3 network addresses, commonly with limited access.
Unclear to me what you want to achieve.
