Web UI responds with "404 Bad Request" after firmware update

FYI : After upgrading your NETGEAR device's firmware, you may see the response "400 Bad Request" when connecting to it with Microsoft Edge Browser.

In such a case, you can still use device UI (Web UI) with another browser such as Firefox, Chrome and so on probably.

Cheers!

Re: Web UI responds with "404 Bad Request" after firmware update

Taking the simplicity of these Web UI designs in place on all these recent Netgear switch models, being the Plus, Smart or Managed switch lines like GS752TPv2 referred makes it hard to agree modern browsers like Chrome (Version 114.0.5735.110) or Mozilla Firefox (114.0), or for the sake Opera  including Microsoft Edge (Edge-Chromium, Version 114.0.1823.41 here for example), another child of the Chromium project, making use of the Blink rendering engine, with Edge-Chromium available since 15-January-2020.

Much more, I suspect various issues with the people deployed base operating systems, negative impact on intrusive Internet "security", multiple layers of code interception (sorry naming all this garbage here).

i would wish the users taking some time in knowing their Web infrastructure, Web browsers, regular browser updates, and provide more comprehensive feedback in the appropriate forum section. The majority of issues reported are home grown, unlikely systematic browser or Web application related.

Needless to say, writing to the community and then take the head out and disappear in the black deep space as a "Retired-Member" why ever isn't helpful for anyone here.

Said this: A Netgear smart Switch like the GS752TPv2 isn't a Managed Switch.

Curious: What is the point of posting however related information or problems - just to eject (unsubscribe) from the community and become a "Retired-Member" not one day later?
