Re: Windows PC can't connect to wifi with DHCP

Hi @luckypatni,

Welcome to the community! 🙂

Netgear S/W assign to static ip:10.200.200.10 connect to POE S/W (Brocade) and POE S/w connect to WI-FI.

in Laptop connect to WIFI but not getting DHCP IP.

As I understood your initial post, your current network setup is:  there is an Access Point connected to the PoE Brocade Switch.  Then, the PoE Brocade Switch is connected to the M7100-24X switch.

Let us isolate the problem.  Kindly answer the questions below:

1. Did you create a VLAN on the M7100-24X switch that is dedicated to the wireless network configured on the Access Point?

2. If you answer 'Yes' on question #1, did you create a DHCP Pool for the VLAN that is dedicated to the wireless network configured on the Access Point?

3. Is the PoE Brocade Switch capable of VLAN?

4. If you answer 'Yes' on question #3, did you create the same VLAN configured on the M7100-24X switch that is dedicated to the wireless network on the PoE Brocade Switch?

5. What is the brand and model of the Access Point connected to the PoE Brocade Switch?

6. Is the Access Point capable of VLAN?

7. If you connect the laptop hardwired to the port that is a member of the VLAN for wireless network on the M7100-24X switch, is the laptop able to get a valid IP address?

8. If you answer 'Yes' on question #7, are you able to access the internet when the laptop is connected hardwired to the M7100-24X switch?

9. Is the M7100-24X switch connected to a router?  If yes, what is the brand and model of the router?

10. What is the current firmware version of the M7100-24X switch?

Regards,
