Hello!
I'm looking to buy a new switch but as I'm far from an expert I thought I would voice my needs and thoughts in hope of some input from more experienced sources.
I have a bunch of computers that is currently connected to a larger network ( a WAN i suppose). What I want is to split these computers in two groups that are connected ti the same LAN:
Group 1: can connect to everyrhing in the LAN and the WAN
Group 2: can connect to everything in the LAN but not reach the WAN. From the WAN you should be able to reach group 2 however.
They way I see it is that I need a "smart managed pro switch" so that I can put each group in a VLAN and then by having an ACL on group 2 i can configure a one-way communication from the WAN, is this correct or is there a better option?
Thanks in advance!
